Privacy Policy

Forward Humans LLC (“Forward Humans”, “we”, “us”) runs forwardhumans.com, where product professionals build a record of their capabilities, the people they worked with confirm specific work, independent experts validate it, and hiring teams find people with that proof. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. If you have a question, email support@forwardhumans.com.

What we collect

We collect only what the product needs, depending on how you use it:

• Account details: your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile name and picture (see “Google sign-in” below).
• Your record: what you choose to add, such as résumé or profile text, job titles, employers and dates, your LinkedIn URL, the capabilities you claim, and the domains and technologies you work in.
• Validations: when you ask a co-worker to validate your work, the name and work email you give us for them. When someone validates you, their name, relationship to you, where you worked together and their written answers.
• Expert sessions: scheduling details, the expert’s written notes and validation, and, only when both the candidate and the expert agree before booking, a recording and transcript of the video call.
• Hiring teams: company name and website, the details of team members who sign in, the opportunities they post, and their actions on candidates (for example invitations or decisions).
• Technical data: sign-in session cookies and standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) used to keep the service working and secure.

How we use it

• To create and run your account and sign you in.
• To build and show your capability record and, if you allow it, your public profile.
• To send validation requests, one-time codes and other service emails (for example when a hiring team invites you).
• To match people to opportunities and rank candidates for hiring teams by validated proof.
• To keep the service secure, prevent fraud (such as someone validating themselves), and fix problems.

We use AI models to help read the text you provide: to find the roles and capabilities in a résumé, to match capabilities to opportunities, and to suggest questions for expert sessions. People, not the AI, validate capabilities. Expert-session recordings and transcripts are used to attach the expert’s feedback to the right capabilities and to improve how we validate; they are never shown to hiring teams. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google sign-in

If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to create your account, sign you in, and show your name on your record. We request no other access to your Google account: we do not read your Gmail, Drive, Contacts or Calendar.

We do not sell data received from Google, share it with anyone except the service providers listed below that run Forward Humans, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Forward Humans’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who can see what

• Your public profile shows your name, current role, validated capabilities and the validators’ names, relationship to you and written answers. It never shows anything still pending, and never shows validators’ email addresses. You control it with your visibility setting: Open, Quiet (no search or recommendations; only hiring teams you apply to see your record) or Closed (your public profile is hidden too). You can also block specific employers.
• Hiring teams see the records of people who apply to their opportunities, and of people recommended to them whose visibility allows it.
• Validators and experts see only the parts of your record relevant to what they are asked to confirm.

Service providers

We share personal data only with providers that help us run the service, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing that service to us:

• Supabase: database, file storage and sign-in.
• Vercel: website hosting.
• Resend: sending emails such as validation requests and one-time codes.
• OpenAI: the AI processing described above. Under OpenAI’s API terms, data we send is not used to train their models.
• Google: Google sign-in, and Google Workspace for email and expert-session calendar invitations.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to a buyer or successor if Forward Humans is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and record while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, record and public profile within 30 days. Encrypted backups are overwritten on a rolling basis after that. Validations you gave someone else are part of their record; if you ask, we remove your name and answers from it. We may keep limited information longer where the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

• Edit your record, hide any capability, or change your visibility at any time from your account.
• Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account by emailing support@forwardhumans.com. We respond within 30 days.
• Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have further rights under local law. We honour them, and we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context advertising.

Cookies

We use only first-party cookies that the service needs: to keep you signed in, and to hold a draft of a form you are part-way through. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited by role (for example, hiring teams can read only what this policy allows), and co-worker validations require a one-time code sent to the validator’s work email. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

Forward Humans is for working professionals and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and for material changes we will email account holders before they take effect.
